How Creating Online Consent Forms Will Save Your Life
Now let's get down to it. If you are still having your clients fill out their new patient consent forms on paper, it's time to STOP. I don't care if you have 10 clients or 10,000 clients, this is going to be one of the backbones of your business. It's not that what you're doing is wrong, it's that your missing out on a WHOLE LOTTA benefits by not having your consent form online. Here are a few reasons why creating an online consent form for your clients is a MUST:
1. Data doesn't get lost.
We've all misplaced a paper here or there. With online consent forms it's virtually impossible to lose any data that was submitted and everything is extremely organized.
2. It saves time in the waiting room.
The less steps involved in filling out a consent form the more likely it will get done before the appointment. When all you have to do is send a simple link that your client can then fill out on their iPhone and submit it, they are much more likely to do that before the time of their appointment. That way you spend more time doing the actual services and making actual money as opposed to waiting for someone who walked in and "didn't have time" to print out the consent form and fill it out prior to the appointment. If for whatever reason you need to pull up a clients health information, you never will have to dig through paper files. Just simply search for the clients name on your computer or phone and BAM. You never know when you are going to be in this position and when the time comes you will be so grateful you're not thumbing through papers.

From an online marketers perspective, this is the most important benefit of all. Depending on whether or not you have an existing website there are a few ways to go about this.
1. Creating a Google form
If you don't have a website and want something that is free, Google Forms is the way to go. The form is online, it will keep your information organized & safe, as well as provide you a link in which your clients can click on and fill out. The downside is it may be a little tricky for someone who is not familiar with their platform and they don't look as professional due to the limited color choices and customization options. 2. Having it on your website
If you have a website there is most likely an option for you to have a form on your website. By having a page on your site where people can and find the form, it makes the process a hundred times easier. Also, it will most likely connect to a backend that organizes all the information for you.
